Baby play mat with "anti-bacterial" coating. Safe for baby?

I am looking at the LG Chemical Baby Play Mats. They have a 1 version that is not anti-bacterial and one that is. But i have no idea how they make it anti-bacterial - do you think it has any incremental risk, given that my son will likely be eating, chewing, licking and slobbering on this mat? THankyou!
