How do I get rid of white patches/spots on my face?

I recently have had eczema on my face, and I have itched it a few times. It finally healed completely about a week ago but I have noticed that there were white patches left on my face after the eczema has healed. I had gone to the beach a few times this week, and when i got home my skin has turned very dark, and the white spots have even gotten more noticeable. Is there any way I can get rid of these white spots on my face? It has become 5x more noticeable now, and it is quite embarring. Is it going to stay there forever? Are the white patches ever going to get darker so it can match my skin color now? I have heard that putting Vitamin E oil could make the skin grow more melanin but I'm not quite sure. Thanks so much!!
