Where should I visit between SLC and Sacramento on I-80?

I'm driving between Salt Lake City and Sacramento in a few weeks. Anyone know of any fun/interesting places to visit along the way? anything from entertaining tourist traps to historical markers will be considered and appreciated. I'm planning to follow I-80 and then the old donner p road before back to I-80, but short detours from this would be fine if the stop is worth it. Thanks for the input!
